Shameless Plug - Wort supporting Fleshgod Apocalypse!

It’s been a while since I did one of these, owing largely to becoming a father and secondly to getting a new job, both of which have prevented me from returning to my band Poison Dwarf. That hasn’t stopped the remaining members getting the opening slot at an all-dayer taking place this coming Saturday (10th March) at The Parish, Huddersfield, instead now performing as new band Wort when Italian symphonic death metallers Fleshgod Apocalypse come to town, headlining the event with their main tour support acts Dyscarnate and Bloodshot Dawn in tow!

How is this possible, you may ask? Simples. It seems the Poison Dwarf guys started jamming with Sanhedrin’s drummer Sam during my time away, and bagged themselves this date! Poison Dwarf will now be on a longer hiatus but we will be back one day!

As for the gig itself, its been put together by those smashing guys at Terrorizer Grindhouse, who have managed to secure a date for this fantastic tour to come ‘oop North, and includes additional support from Ethereal, Kataleptic, Grieve, Nekrodrako, Trifixion and Sanhedrin. Tickets are £11 adv and doors on the day are at 2:00pm, the event itself running til late with good times to be had well into the early hours. Poison Dwarf are first on so get down there early! You won’t see me though – I’m working that day.

For those of you who don’t live anywhere near Huddersfield, you can be reassured that Fleshgod Apocalypse hit the UK from today, starting at the White Rabbit in Plymouth. Get on down.
